....PROPER PARTY BEHAVIOR............ First of all, when invited to a party of any sort,
whether an evening formal or a lighthearted afternoon soiree, it is incumbent upon each guest
to bring a gift for their gracious host and hostess. Generally, such things as a brand new car
(wrapped, of course, in a pretty ribbon, and with a properly adjusted carburetor) will suffice
to show your appreciation. Once inside the party proper, you may be tempted with a long table
garnished with food of various types. At this point you must remember the classic rule of
threes:...... it is wrong to talk with more than three things in your mouth at once, or to talk to
more than three people with one thing in your mouth............ Applying simple arithmetic (as well
as a bit of differential calculus) to this rule yields the corollary:....... don't drop more than seven
ice cubes down the front of the hostess's low-cut gown (unless, of course, until others have done
so first).......
